The Lake City Stompers Old Time Jazz Band from Lucerne belongs to the most known and successful Old Time Jazz
formations in Switzerland. Concerts in Germany, France, Spain and the USA belong to the geographical repertoire of the band. As highlights of the LCS count the festivals in Dresden, Warschau, New
Orleans, Sargans and the Albis Güetli in Zurich as well as numerous radio and TV performances in Switzerland and Germany and the honour of getting the Burkhard award by the city of Lucerne.

Old Time Jazz Band Lucerne CH
It all started in the year 1965 at a round table in an old town pub which in the meantime unfortunately had to give way to the building boom.
The moment for the foundation of an Old Time Jazz Band wasn't anything than favourable as with the coming up of the pop music many fans lost interest in the jazz music. It is only due to a few idealists that the
jazz music hasn't been forgotten completely. The more we are proud on our decision from that time to found a jazz band. The Lake City Stompers have therefore contributed to the popularity of this music.
A concert in the year 1966 in the former "Telécafe" laid the foundation stone for a constant series of concerts and galas. As stomper
of the first hour still in the band is Rolf Albisser. On the whole 33 musicians have been playing in this band.
